Ofer Porat

Ofer is a Senior Director at the Elah Fund. He brings extensive experience from leadership roles across the manufacturing and industrial sectors. Most recently, he served as COO of Filtersafe Ltd., a global water-filtration company focused on the ballast-water market.

Before that, Ofer headed the Industrial and Entrepreneurship Division at the Stef Wertheimer Foundation, where he led and managed industrial enterprises in metalworking, mold-making, plastic injection, jewelry, textiles, and water technologies. In this capacity, he also served on the board of the Zurim Association and held directorships in several companies within the Stef Wertheimer Group.

Earlier in his career, following the acquisition of Tungaloy in Japan by IMC/Iscar Group—a Berkshire Hathaway portfolio company—Ofer relocated to Tokyo to serve as Co-CFO of Tungaloy.

Ofer began his professional path as an economist, managing the Economic Department at Iscar Ltd. (IMC Group) for nearly a decade.

He holds a BA in Economics and Business from the University of Haifa.
